Introduction to Bioproduction Systems
This course introduces students to basic knowledge on agricultural machinery. The students learn the structure, the performance, and the operation of the agricultural machinery.

Bio-Measurement Engineering
This course introduces students to basic knowledge on instrumentation technology. The students learn the method of measuring the individual and the colony of the plant.

Bioproduction Systems Laboratory
In this course students will practice some basic experiments on mechanical engineering and electronic engineering, and learn basic principles of the machine and the measuring instrument. And, they will master the basic techniques for using the computer for the experiment, the measurement, and data processing.

  • Farm work analysis of paddy rice culture using GPS

    The movement locus of the agricultural vehicles(tractor etc.) were recorded by using a low cost GPS logger. The technique to analyze the working hour and the work efficiency from the movement locus was examined. It is expected that all farm work with an agricultural vehicle can be measured.   • Basic research on automation of post-harvest processes of ginkgo

    The physical properties of ginkgo were measured to automate the post-harvest processes. For instance, the compression test and the shape measurement, etc. were executed, and the varietal difference was investigated.
