Primary Research
Research Fields Plant biotechnology
Keywords Plant virus, transgenic plant, protein
Research Topics
  • Development of the useful protein manufacturing system in a plant

This research aims at using a plant as a factory which produces useful protein like the medical supplies instead of food.
Such a trial is called a molecule farm and expected as next-generation agriculture.
The new manufacturing system which has large-scale-production capability, safety, and high manufacturing efficiency using the high replication competence of a virus is developed.
    transgenic plants expressing foreign genes

Social Contributions
Previous accomplishments The laboratory work of gene modification technology was given to the high school student within the prefecture.
